Dell To Use AMD Processors
Market source says that Dell and AMD has cracked a deal by which Dell will use 20 Million AMD processors. These processors will be used in Dell servers, desktop PCs and notebooks between the fourth quarter of 2006 and the fourth quarter of 2007. Source says that AMD is slowly gaining market share from it’s rival, Intel. Already HP and Acer uses AMD processors, now by adding Dell into the list, the company convince the domestic notebook manufacturers to divert more R&D facilities and resources to their products.
Dell will use 4 million processors for laptops and 16 million processors for desktop PCs and servers.
