Microsoft Windows 7 coming in 2010

microsoft_julielarsengreen.jpgJust as Vista's gaining ground, Microsoft has officially released some information about next version of Windows operating system. Internally they are calling it Windows 7 and it's expected to be developed in three years. I doubt product name and development time will remain static over the years. But before Windows 7 the software giant plans to release Vista Service Pack 1. The firm says Windows Seven is being developed for both consumer and business segments and will come in 32- and 64-bit flavors. According to Mary Jo Foley, Microsoft is also thinking of extending Windows Seven with subscription-based services. Currently Julie Larsen-Green (pictured) is leading the Windows 7 team whose job includes "the end-user interaction design and overall experience for the Windows products after the release of Windows Vista, which will be available in 2007."

In the mean time I am wondering what happened to Windows Fiji and Vienna.
