Microsoft Security Essentials Beta Out Now
We knew it was coming. Formerly known as Microsoft Morro, the Security Essentials anti-malware software system is currently in beta stage, and can be downloaded from Microsoft's website. The latest security solution from the software behemoth is basically a freeware, supporting Windows XP SP2 or higher, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 operating system. So what does Security Essential do? Well, it runs in the background and protects your PC from viruses, worms, Trojans, and other malicious software.
But sadly, Microsoft has stopped accepting new participants now.
When you visit official page you get this message.
"Thank you for your interest in joining the Microsoft Security Essentials Beta. We are not accepting additional participants at this time. Please check back at later a date for possible additional availability."
Better luck next time.
