Google Chrome Browser Unveiled

google_chrome.jpg Since last couple of months blogosphere was buzzing about the GBrowser. Some thought Google might be working on an alternate to IE (or basically to compete against Microsoft), while some thought there's no need for Google to come out with a new browser as it virtually owns Firefox. But today Google proved the latter group wrong by launching it's very own browser -- the Chrome. Wondering why is it launching Google Chrome? Because Google believes it can add value for users and, at the same time, help drive innovation on the web. Google reports, "Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go." Google Chrome can be downloaded freely starting today.
