Intel’s Gulftown six-core processor overclocked to 6.4GHz!

Though we’re far from seeing the Intel Gulftown processor officially, couple of sample units have been shipped to “experts”. And according to news doing round on internet, the Gulftown has already touched 6.4GHz! An overclocker named Shamino has performed the said overclocking using LN2 cooling. He managed to push the newest Intel baby to impressive 6.386MHz with operating voltage of 2.02V.
When the cores were clocked at 5.9GHz the system performed incredibly, scoring impressive 51,177 points.
If the number doesn’t mean anything to you then let me add that the current world record for CPU performance is 32,328 points. Meaning, Intel’s Gulftown scored 18,849 points more!
I guess AMD has loads of work to do.
