The vPro processor technology includes Core 2 Duo processor, Intel Q35 Express chipset and several "technology innovations offering a host of security and management capabilities for desktop PCs." The new tech enables managers to remotely turn on/off a desktop connected to a company network even when the OS or hard drive has failed. As a result, businesses can reduce costs by limiting expensive and time-consuming deskside visits. The Intel Trusted Execution Technology (TXT) isolates assigned memory and keeps data in each virtual partition protected from unauthorized access from software in another partition.
