Intel to unveil new desktop CPUs

On the notebook front Intel is planning to unveil a new platform named Huron River in the first quarter of 2011, and on the desktop front the company is planning to introduce new CPUs in the latter part of 2010. New upcoming CPUs include new models in Pentium, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 series.
The 3.2GHz Intel Pentium E6700 is an entry-level processor to be introduced in the second quarter of 2010 with a price that is same as the current E6600. Along the way Intel will reduce price of E6000 series.
As for Core i3 and Core i6 series, Intel plans to launch Corei3-550 and Core i5-680, with frequencies of 3.2GHz and 3.6GHz, respectively. Both of them features an integrated GPU and will be available in the second quarter of this year.
Intel will also update its Core i7 series with two processors: Core i7-880 and Core i7-970. Both of them will come in the second quarter or the third quarter. Intel will also unveil a six-core version Core i7-970 based on 32nm Westmere design in the third quarter.
