Intel to launch Core 2 Extreme QX9775 processor

Though its not officially announced, you can rest assured that it'll come in couple of weeks time. The latest addition in quad core line up is designed for high-end Skulltrail motherboard. Hard core gamers will love this platform as it uses SMP technology to support up to two quad-core processors. Using server-based socket 771 the Core 2 Extreme QX9775 features core clock speed of 3.2GHz, and 1600MHz FSB.

It will be available for $1499, so most of you won't be able to afford one.
