Intel McCaslin for UMPCs coming soon

Intel is about to launch new processors and chipsets for the growing UMPC segment. The platform which is codenamed "McCaslin" will increase Intel's competitiveness in ultra-portable market. Featuring 600/800 MHz speed and 512 KB L2 Cache, it reduces the power consumption thereby increasing battery life (it lasts about 4-5 hours).
Based on 90nm technology, the chipset takes 78% less space compared to the previous models. Also, more space has been left for UMPC products in the areas of micromation and functions add-in such as WiMax, GPS and TV Tuner, etc.
