Intel Core i7 990X Extreme Edition 3.46GHz Processor Coming In 2011
Come 2011 and Intel will update its Extreme Edition series with a new processor. Dubbed as Core i7 990X, the newest monster from Intel is based on Gulftown 32nm architecture and sports 6-cores.
The chip boast of 3.46GHz core clock speed, while with the help of Turbo Boost technology you can overclock it till 3.73GHz.
It further provides a 3-channel memory controller, and 130W TDP.
The Intel Core i7 990X Extreme Edition processor will come in Q1 2011 for $999.
