Intel Celeron T1600, T1700 dual core processors launched

intel_logo2.jpg Without much fanfare, Intel today unveiled dual core Celeron series. The T1600 and T1700 are the latest processors under this line up, targeted towards basic home users. Both are based on 65nm fabrication process, and offers 1MB L2 cache, 667MHz FSB and TDP of 35W. What's more both supports Intel Enhanced Speedstep power-saving technology, Executive Disable Bit, and Intel EM64T 64-bit. The only difference between the two is core speed with T1600 offering 1.66GHz frequency and T1700 offering higher 1.83GHz frequency. The T1600 costs $80, and T1700 costs $86.
