Intel Atom processors for smartphones, tablets detailed

We know Intel is developing new Atom processors for use in smartphones and tablets. Recently, Intel’s CEO Paul Otellini unveiled the Atom roadmap for next three years. Intel’s chief said that within next three years the firm will have quite a few chips to compete against ARM in smartphone-tablet segment.
There are a total of three Atom platforms which Intel is planning to launch with the next 36 months — 14nm Airmont, 22nm Silvermont, and 32nm Saltwell.
The upcoming Atom chips will power next generation of ultrathin tablets and smartphones and will support multiple operating systems as well as all-day battery.
Expect the first Atom chip for smartphones/tablets in the first half of 2012.
