Intel Atom D2500 and D2700 “Cedar Trail” desktop processors launched

Remember the Atom D2500 and D2700 processors we have told you about in the past? Well, Intel today rolled out its first Cedar Trail platform based processors in the form of Atom D2500 and Atom D2700. Built on 32nm processor technology, the processors are designed for nettops and offer improved on-chip graphics supporting DirectX 10.1, on-chip decoding of HD video, support for HDMI and embedded DisplayPort.
The Atom D2500 and D2700 are dual-core processors with 1 MB level 2 cache and 10W TDP. The Atom D2500 has a clock speed of 1.86GHz and 400MHz graphics clock. On the other hand the Atom D2700 operates at 2.13GHz and has a graphics clock of 640MHz.
The Atom D2500 is priced at $42 and Atom D2700 at $52 in 1,000 quantities.
