• AMD To Release Quad Core This Month

    In a company event, AMD disclosed information about it’s quad core processors which will be launched this month. The company has not disclosed any product names but it seems that 4X4 will use Asus motherboard and the processors will be integrated with Nvidia Nforce 680i chipset. AMD will introduce three different models of 125-watt FX processors: the 2.6GHz FX-72, 2.8GHz FX-74, and 3.0GHz FX-76. The entry-level chips will cost you about $1000, but according to the source there still aren’t that many pieces of software that can take advantage of two cores on two chips, besides Windows Vista Ultimate Edition.
