AMD has launched their first 65-nanometer Athlon 64 processors, codenamed Brisbane. Based on a new technology these chips are more energy efficient and mark the company's transition from 90nm CPUs to 65nm. The four processors that are announced today range from the 2.1GHz 4000+ to the 2.6GHz 5000+; all of them have a 2x512KB L2 cache and a 65W TDP. These processors are priced in the range of $169 to $301.
