3D processors coming in two years

Fujio Masuoka, the same person who invented flash memory, has taken up a new challenging task — to design a 3D processor boasting 10x speed of current-generation CPUs. When he invented flash he was working for Toshiba, but now he is the Chief Technology Officer at Unisantis Electronics (an R&D firm) in Japan.
Masuoka has striked a deal with Singapore’s Institute of Microelectronics to take advantage of their technical facilities and specialists. As for budget, it is estimated to be around $100 million.
