Kingston releases HyperX SO-DIMMS 2GB RAM for netbooks

kingston_memory.jpg Kingston today announced the release of a high-performance 2GB HyperX SO-DIMM specifically targeted to owners of netbook. The new SO-DIMM is designed to increase system performance by using faster latency timings in netbook computers that support 533MHz bus specifications.

"A netbook or mobile internet device will automatically recognize the preset low latency value of the HyperX memory module and properly boot the mobile device to provide higher performance than standard memory," said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. "Netbooks are growing in popularity and Kingston is pleased to present a HyperX module that makes these small mobile devices run faster."

The 2GB 533MHz Low Latency (CL3-3-3-8) memory is now available for $35.
