Logitec unveils portable DVD player for netbooks

Logitec Japan recently launched a new portable DVD player for use with netbooks. The portable computing machines are great, but they all lack one thing: a DVD drive. Sometimes the missing DVD drive actually pinches when you want to watch a DVD movie on road. To fulfill this need, Logitec Japan recently came out with this portable DVD drive.
Powered by USB, the DVD drive can also be used as a “boot drive” when your hard drive crashes and you need to reinstall the operating system.
The drive can read both single layer as well as dual layer DVD.
It’ll be available in Japanese market in October for $55.
