More info on Zink camera and printer

If you're a tech geek then you must be familiar with Zink Imaging which generated lots of curiosity with the announcement of inkless printer back in February. Since then more interesting details about Zink's products have come out in open. The firm has manufactured a device that converges camera and printer together to give users the ability to print pictures on-the-go. According to Imaging Resource it's not the first time someone is trying this kind of convergence. Fujitsu was the first one to launch a combo gadget -- FinePix PR-21 digital camera -- with 2.1 mega pixel resolution and a fixed focal-length lens with built-in Instax Mini printer. Olympus soon followed with the Camedia C-211Z with 2mp camera, 3x optical zoom lens and a built-in Polaroid printer. Zink will soon introduce two products -- a standalone printer and a printer+camera unit. The latter one boosts 7mp resolution, 3x optical zoom lens, and 2-inch LCD display. Images are stored on SD memory cards, and can be printed on 2" x 3" borderless Zink paper. The standalone printer adds wireless connectivity. Both of them are powered by an internal, rechargeable battery. No word on pricing and availability.
