Gyration M2000 Travel Air-Mouse
The cool Wiimote like mouse is designed by Gyration for road warriors to give them “enhanced freedom and flexibility when performing mouse actions in the air.” Its air-action is similar to Logitech’s MX Air Mouse which was launched about two months ago. The M2000 Travel Air-Mouse uses UltraSense technology and works on a flat surface or in the air with a 100’ range of wireless freedom. It lets you initiate any command with a flick of the wrist using Swipes technology and control volume, skip a song or launch a presentation special effect with a quick hand motion. This concept is actually good for couch potatoes as they can easily control their media (or any application for that matter) while sitting on a couch.
“People are increasingly mobile these days, as evidenced by the dominance of notebook computer sales, and aren’t always tied to the desk”, said Greg Smith, Vice President for Marketing and OEM Sales at Gyration. “The Travel Air-Mouse was designed with this in mind, providing the business traveler or ‘digital couch potato’ with the freedom to control their PC and entertainment without the need for a desktop surface.”
The ergonomically designed mouse weights less than four ounces and uses 2.4GHz Radio Frequency (RF) link (meaning it can work up to 100 feet from your PC). It’ll be available from Q1 2008 for $70.
