• Crucial intros energy-efficient DDR3L 1.35v server memory

    Crucial recently introduced a new energy-efficient DDR3 memory. The Crucial DDR3L energy-efficient memory modules come in 1GB, 2GB, and 4GB RDIMM and VLP RDIMM modules. The memory is compatible with legacy DDR3 server systems, and runs at 1.5v. What’s more, the it also supports latest Intel Xeon processor 5600 series.


    Crucial further reports that it provides an overall memory subsystem power savings of up to 20% over DDR3 without compromising performance.
    No word on pricing.
