Canon has launched an update to their popular printer series “Pixma i90″ which features a stylish design and is small enough to fit inside your laptop bag. The unique thing about this device is, it can also provide print-outs using IrDa and Bluetooth (with laptop or even cell phone). Weighting about 1.8Kg, it claims to set the benchmark for stylish document and photo printing on-the-go. It provides maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi2 and droplets as small as 2 picoliters and prints with speeds up to 16 pages-per-minute (ppm) in black and up to 12 ppm in color.
It includes Canon’s exclusive FINE high-performance print head. FINE technology “Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering” helps ensure sub-micron level precision during the manufacturing process. As for pricing, the Pixma iP90v sells for $249.99. The optional user installable Bluetooth Unit (BU-10) has an estimated selling price of $79.991. Users have the option to purchase a Portable Kit (LK-51B), which includes a Lithium Ion battery with an approximate 450 page life per two-hour charge, along with the battery housing that connects the battery to the printer, for a suggested list price of $99.99.
