Via Technologies has created a reference design for an ultra mobile device that will be available through different manufacturer in the second half of 2007. According to the firm it "packs the performance, connectivity and functionality of a notebook PC into a sleek and light ultra portable clamshell form factor that weighs less than 850g." The 7-inch handheld is based on 1.2GHz Via C7-M low voltage chip and features 1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive, 800x400 resolution, a full keyboard, 802.11g wireless, Bluetooth, GPS, 5 hours of battery life, and Vista.
