Though most kids just love to use iPad, Toys ‘R’ Us think there is a market for children special tablets and has therefore introduced a slate tablet especially designed for children. Dubbed as Tabeo, the tablet features a 7-inch display and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. As one can expect from a tablet designed for kids, the Tabeo sports rugged design to protect itself from accidental falls and parental controls to block objectionable websites.

Specification include 1GHz processor, 4GB in-built storage, 7-inch multi-touch display, 32GB expandable memory via microSD card, WiFi, front facing camera, built-in speaker, microphone, g-sensor, and HDMI.

It also comes bundled with 50 games, books, and educational apps and offers access to 7,000+ apps, games, books, etc. through the Tabeo App Store.

Toys ‘R’ Us Tabeo tablet is priced at $150 and will be available from October 21.
