Toshiba Tecra S5 and Portege M600 laptops announced

Toshiba has silently launched two new laptops, the Portege M600 and the Tecra S5. The first one (pictured above) is an ultra portable with 13.3-inch widescreen LCD display and glossy onyx blue or titanium silver finish. The Santa Rosa based notebook is designed for mobile business users and students. It comes with Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) or T5450 (1.6GHz) or T7300 (2.0GHz) processor, up to 4GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, 1280 x 800 resolution, dual layer DVD burner, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 (max 1GB memory), a/g wireless, Bluetooth, webcam, and Vista. The 15.4-inch Tecra S5 is designed to tackle graphics-intensive applications with the Nvidia Quadro NVS 130M graphics. It's also based on Santa Rosa platform with 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, 1680 x 1050 resolution, and same other features.

    My Tecra S1 which I bought for $1500 in 2003 has been sold $75 in 2007 and the motherboard has been broken twice. Poor me.
