Toshiba today became the first company to unveil a WiMAX-ready notebook computer. The latest addition in its flagship Satellite series is a 13.3" ultra portable machine for business professionals. Of course, the main attraction of this notebook is its support for next generation wireless internet connectivity. The Satellite U405-ST550W laptop PC will be WiMAX enabled to offer users a rich, immersive mobile Internet experience over entire metropolitan areas (initial WiMAX rollout is within the city of Baltimore). As its a WiMAX enabled laptop, users will have a ball while accessing data-intensive applications, including media streaming, live video conferencing and mobile TV on the go.
