Toshiba Qosmio G45-AV680 laptop announced
Toshiba has announced the availability of the “first U.S. notebook computer with HD DVD-R drive”, the Qosmio G45-AV680. The 17-inch notebook is a complete power house with high-definition capabilities. The Qosmio G45-AV680 sports a piano-key white glossy finish, backlit (blue light) control knobs, 1080p playback, external USB HDTV Tuner, a remote control, four Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers, a built-in subwoofer, a 1 Bit Digital Amplifier and Dolby Home Theater technology. It comes with 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Turbo Memory (1GB), 320GB hard drive, HD DVD burner, 1920×1200 resolution, Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory (plus up to 255MB dynamically allocated shared memory using Nvidia TurboCache technology), 802.11a/g/n wireless, webcam, microphone, fingerprint reader, and Vista. It’s now available with price starting at $3200.
