Toshiba Satellite L875-S7209 17.3-inch Laptop

The Toshiba Satellite L875-S7209 is a 17.3-inch desktop replacement laptop with the latest L-series design. It is equipped with an Intel Core i3-2370M processor with a 4GB DDR3 RAM, a 640GB hard disk drive and a DVD-SuperMulti drive. The Satellite L875-S7209 is best suited for average computing needs but comes equipped with Intel QuickSync technology to enable faster video editing and encoding.

Other features are a built-in webcam that makes it easy to Skype and chat live with friends and family or videoconference with co-workers. The built-in microphone also makes it great for lessons over Skype. Its 6-Cell rechargeable battery is perfect for staying connected longer while on-the-go.

On the other side, the Sandy Bridge i3 has the weak Intel HD 3000 graphics as the main drawback when compared to the newer 2012 Ivy Bridge counterpart with the HD 4000. If storage space is of a concern, the Satellite L875-S7209 is a good solution, delivering a 640GB hard disk whereas similar laptops usually have a 500GB unit.

It has a “Shining Silver” with glossy gray surfaces on the palmrest and lid. The area around the isle-style keyboard is black. Unfortunately, the keyboard doesn’t have backlight, but it does have a numeric pad for easier input of numbers.

Being a desktop replacement laptop, the L875-S7209 is not designed for carrying around. It weighs 6.3 pounds and is priced approximately at $650.
