Sony VAIO Z 13.1″ Laptop Goes Official In America

In the last week of June Sony Europe officially announced the new VAIO Z laptop. And now it is Sony America’s turn to go official on their latest VAIO product. The Sony VAIO Z is a high-end laptop with sophisticated design and powerful features. The base price of this model is $1970 and support up to Intel Core i7 processor. But for this price you also get an external media dock which has an AMD Radeon HD 6650M (1GB) graphics and DVD burner (or optional Blu-ray). The Power Media Dock also has Gigabit Ethernet port (RJ45), HDMI output, USB 2.0 x2, USB 3.0 x1 and VGA output.
The new 1.2Kg VAIO Z sports an interesting design which is only 16.65mm slim and has display lid that is crafted in tough, ultra-light carbon fibre.
Specification of laptop include Intel Core 5/i7 processor, up to 8GB DDR3 memory, max 512GB SSD, 13.1″ LED backlit display (1600 x 900), and Intel HD Graphics 3000. The device is based on Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
Other features include Gigabit LAN, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, Intel Wireless Display 2.0 technology, card reader, HD camera, HDMI, VGA, USB 2.0 x1, and up to 8 hours battery.
