Sony VAIO W Series Netbook

sony_vaio-w-netbook.jpg Sony America today announced a new netbook PC for VAIO lovers. Unlike earlier announced Vaio P, which was in a completely different form factor, the latest addition to VAIO series is a typical netbook PC with a touch of VAIOs. The VAIO W Series is a stylish netbook for students and professionals who want a portable mobile machine with stylish design. The 10.1" W Series sports a higher resolution of 1366 x 768 and LED backlit, making it easy to view two full web pages- no side-to-side scrolling necessary.

The model comes with VAIO Media plus Multimedia Streaming software, a media sharing application that lets you wirelessly stream content across DLNA-enabled devices throughout your home network. You can now stream video, music and pictures from your W Series to your compatible primary PC or Play Station 3 and vice-versa and enjoy your content anywhere in the home including on your big-screen TV.

It features an Intel Atom (1.6GHz) processor, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth, 2x usb ports, media card reader, Ethernet, Webcam, and Windows XP.

The VAIO W Series mini netbook is available for $500.
