Sony Vaio NR notebook coming
Sony is planning a new Vaio machine for students and basic home users with curvy design that makes “a mostly run-of-the-mill machine look a little more interesting though.” Unlike recently announced quite powerful Vaios the 15.4-inch NR is a more basic laptop with Core 2 Duo processor and GMA graphics (sorry no luck on dedicated graphics). It looks pale compared to other sexy Vaio models, but could be a good buy for budget users.
According to NotebookReview, the silver-colored VGN-NR11SS features 1.5GHz Core 2 Duo T5250 processor, 2GB RAM, Intel X3100 graphics, 200GB hard drive, 802.11 a/b/g wireless, 4 USB ports, FireWire, VGA out, SD card, ExpressCard slot, and Vista. The NR11Z/T comes with similar configuration except it provides faster Core 2 Duo processor (2.0GHz T7250).
