Sony VAIO E15 and E17 laptops announced
Sony has expanded its VAIO E family with two new models — the Sony VAIO E15 (15.5-inch) and VAIO E17 (17.3″). Powered by Intel Core i5 Sandy Bridge processor, the new VAIO E family laptops feature button-free touchpad, backlit keyboard, built-in HD web camera powered by ‘Exmor for PC’, xLOUD and Clear Phase sound technologies, and USB charging for phones even if laptop is switched off.
The VAIO E Series also provide an ultra-low power deep sleep mode, keeping your data safe for up to ten days. And when you’re ready to resume, simply open the lid and you’ll be up and running in moments thanks to Rapid Wake + Eco.
Specification include Intel Core i5-2450M processor, 6GB DDR3 memory, 750GB hard drive, and AMD Radeon HD 7650M (1GB) graphics.
Sony VAIO E15 features a 15.5” display (1366×768) and DVD burner, while the VAIO E17 features a 17.3-inch display 1600×900) and Blu-ray drive.
Both of them also provide WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth Ver. 4.0 + HS, 3x USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and HDMI.
New VAIO E Series 15 and 17 are available in a choice of white, black or silver (E15 only) colour finishes, and will be on sale from early June.
