Sharp NetWalker MID Unveiled in Japan

sharp_netwalker-mid.jpg The NetWalker is the newest product by Sharp, designed for Japanese market. The NetWalker is a 5" touch-enabled MID, powered by Freescale i.MX515 800MHz processor. Specification-wise its a decent machine which can be used for internet access.

It also provides 5" touchscreen display (1,024 x 600 resolution), 512MB RAM, 4GB storage, 802.11b/g wireless, 1x USB 2.0, 1x mini USB 2.0, and 10 hours battery.

The device is based on Linux operating system, and is loaded with couple of free softwares including OpenOffice 3.0, Flash player, Gedit text editor, Firefox, Thunderbird, Totem video player, etc.

The NetWalker comes in three colors including black, white and red, and will be available from 25 September for $478.
