SCAN unveils BareBone Isotope Laptops

We already have many barebone desktop manufacturers (such as Shuttle), but there are very few companies selling barebone laptop kits. A European firm, SCAN, has created three barebone laptops "LN19131", "LN19129", and "LN19128" that ships without core components. Meaning you'll have to install a processor (Socket 478 Mobile), SATA hard drive, DDR2 SO-DIMM memory, optical drive, and OS all on your own. The funkily designed laptops will surely appeal to adventurous persons.

The 15.4-inch notebooks featuring 1280x1024 resolution comes with i945GM chipset, and NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphics card (256 memory). The barebone machines are now available for about $1,017.
