Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook Launched

We knew Samsung was going to launch a new Chromebook and guess what yesterday Samsung went official with its second generation Google Chromebook. Dubbed as Samsung Series 5 550, the Chromebook sports a 12.1-inch display and is powered by Intel Celeron 867 (1.3GHz) dual-core processor.

Interestingly, the Samsung Series 5 550 Chromebook boots in just 7 seconds and resumes from sleep mode in 1 second! It also has built-in virus protection, with multiple layers of security like sandboxing, data encryption and verified boot.

Specification include 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD, 12.1-inch display (1280×800), and HD camera.

Samsung Series 5 550 also provide WiFi, Ethernet, 3G, card reader, 2x USB ports, multi-touch trackpad, and DisplayPort++.

It weighs 3 pounds and measures less than 0.83″ thick, and provide up to 6 hours of battery life.
