Remember the Razer Switchblade gaming device? Well, today we learned that the machine is powered by upcoming Intel Atom Z690 (1.70GHz) processor. Razer reports that the this particular Atom chip is capable of running games at a higher level of performance with its faster clock speed; a 13 percent boost over previous models. The Atom Z690 also support 3D gaming.
Razer will be launching the Switchblade gaming device in association with key Chinese independent software vendors such as Tencent and ChangYou who have pledged to support game optimization for the Switchblade User Interface.
It is expected to feature 7-inch multi-touch screen, adaptive tactile keyboard, WiFi, 3G, webcam, mini HDMI, USB 3.0, standard headphone and mic ports, and Windows 7 operating system.
But sadly no word on when the device will see the light of the day.
