Panasonic intros 7 series Toughbooks

panasonic_w7-1.jpgPanasonic has updated their ToughBook line up with three rugged notebooks for business professionals looking for "durability, reliability and connectivity." The new ToughBooks -- W7, T7 and Y7 -- are light weight (from 3.0 to 3.7 lbs) notebooks encased in strong magnesium alloy cases and chassis which makes them drop- and spill-resistant. All of them boasts long battery life, shock-mounted hard drives and LCDs, and internal flexible connectors for additional protection.

The 12.1-inch W7 and 14.1-inch Y7 features 1.06Ghz Core 2 Duo ULV U7500 processor, 80GB hard drive, up to 2GB RAM, dual layer DVD burner, 802.11 a/b/g wireless, Bluetooth, HSPDA, 7 hours battery life, and Vista Business. The 12.1-inch T7 is similarly specced except for a fingerprint reader.

The Panasonic Toughbook Y7 is now available for $2,449.00 while the W7 and T7 will be available in December for $2,099.
