Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 rugged convertible tablet unveiled

Do you work in unfriendly environment? Panasonic has launched a new convertible tablet for people who work in the field. Dubbed as Panasonic Toughbook CF-19, it is powered by third generation Intel Core i5 “Ivy Bridge” processor and is specifically designed for professionals who work in field utilities, emergency services, defence, transport maintenance, etc.

With magnesium alloy casing, inside and out, and Panasonic’s anti-scratch coating, the CF-19 remains the toughest rugged notebook in its range. It is MIL-STD 810G drop tested and has water, dust, vibration and temperature protection giving it an impressive IP65, MIL STD 810G rating.

Specification include Intel Core i5-3320 vPro (2.60 GHz, up to 3.30 GHz with Intel Turbo Boost Technology), Intel HD 4000 graphics, low voltage DDR3L RAM, 500GB HDD or 256GB SSD, and 10.1″ touchscreen display.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 also provide WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 port, optional HSPA+ module, a serial port, PC Card slot and 10 hours of battery life.

The new Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 is priced at $3,725 and will be available from July 2012.
