NVous PC, a firm started by an ex-Alienware employee is offering custom painted laptops with regular configurations. After deciding the specifications (or if you've a lappie then you can directly go for the paint job) you can submit your design to the firm which will be improved by the Design Team. Then they'll send back the design via email for your confirmation. You can then interact with the designer in order to perfect your artwork to your taste. Currently their line up includes two notebooks -- 14.1-inch Mercury and 15.4-inch Ether. The first one features Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 / T5600 / T7200 / T7400 / T7600 processor, up to 2GB RAM, max 160GB hard drive, dual layer DVD burner, a/b/g wireless, and Vista. The Ether is no different except it includes DVD combo. Both of them are now available with a starting price of $1099 and $999 respectively.
