asus_eeepc.jpg Here's a good news if you are planning to buy an Eee PC this summer. Reportedly, ASUS is planning to upgrade its famous Eee PC with some cool new features, making the small size notebook computer even more useful. According to Kevin Lin, vice president of Asustek's sales department, the second-generation Eee PC will boast 8.9-inch touchscreen panel and possible GPS support.

It'll be based on Intel's low-cost notebook platform and will offer 1GB base memory (probably expandable), and 8-12GB solid state disk. Asus is planning to launch next-gen Eee PC in May or June for approx $500. What's more, the Eee Desktop will also come in during same time for $200.
