NEC Japan recently came out with a new notebook series, the LaVie L. The latest LaVie series is a standard notebook with decent specification. The 15.4-inch laptop is based on Intel's Core 2 Duo (2.4GHz) processor, and offers 4GB of RAM, 320GB hard drive, DVD burner, wireless, HDMI, card reader, and Windows Vista. The most interesting feature of this notebook is its touchpad that allows multitouch gestures. The LaVie L series notebook will be available by month end in the Japanese market for approx $1,950.
