MSI today revealed more info on the Wind PC, which was first displayed at Intel Development Forum last month. The Wind is a 1Kg mini laptop that hopes to repeat Eee PC success. According to MSI, the light and graceful MSI Wind Notebook will provide the simplest operating conditions for the everyday enjoyment for our users.

The Wind comes with 8.9″ and 10″ wide LCD display (1024x 600 resolution) and LED power-saving backlight technology. One of the major difference between the Wind and other similar-grade notebooks is that it offers 2.5-inch 80GB hard disk drive, instead of small capacity flash drive. Other features include Intel Shelton 08 platform with processor frequencies ranging between 1.0 and 1.6GHz, optional SSD, 1GB RAM, 6 cells battery providing about 6/7 hours of battery life, and Linux / Windows OS.
No word on pricing and availability.
