MSI tablet with AMD chip, Android 4 ICS OS demonstrated!
We saw Intel + Android combination at the CES, so it was natural for AMD to demonstrate its own AMD + Android combination. At the AMD booth there was a MSI tablet running AMD Z-Series CPU and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system!
The prototype tablet has a 10-inch multi-touch display, AMD Z-Series Z-01 (1.0GHz) CPU, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and Radeon HD 6250-series graphics card.
Not bad considering it is AMD’s first attempt at Android.
But don’t get too excited as the project is still in alpha stage. No word on when AMD will officially release its processor platform for Android.
Meanwhile enjoy the video of AMD+Android combination in action.
