• More info on upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad W701 & W701ds mobile workstations

    Remember two days back I’d told you about upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad mobile workstations? Well, it turns out that Lenovo is planning to update its ThinkPad W700 series with two more machines. Reportedly, the ThinkPad W701 and ThinkPad W701ds are based on Intel Extreme processors and provide extreme specification.


    Just like the ThinkPad W700 series these two models are power packed mobile workstations targeted towards professionals who require a desktop replacement with high-end desktop type features.
    The ThinkPad W701 comes with a standard 17″ display while the ThinkPad W701ds offers dual screens, a standard 17″ display as well as a smaller 10.6″ display.
    Both of them features up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800M and 3800M professional graphics cards, 500GB hard drive, 256GB of solid state drive, DVD burner, and Wacom Digitizer.
    Other features include 2MP webcam, wireless, Bluetooth, DisplayPort, fingerprint reader, card reader, and 5x USB ports.
    The ThinkPad W701 and 701ds are based on Windows 7 and will be announced on 23 February.
