More info on Dell's Latitude XT tablet PC

dell_latitude-xt-3.jpgDuring Oracle Corp.'s OpenWorld 2007 conference, Dell displayed a prototype of Latitude XT tablet. The 12.1-inch notebook is the first one to support multitouch technology. The regular tablets only support single-touch (a finger or pen), but Dell's latest machine lets customers use multiple fingers to draw lines or manage images simultaneously.

Kevin Kettler, Dell's chief technology officer, said the new Latitude XT tablet PC is the industry's thinnest 12.1-inch convertible laptop and has a 25% brighter screen than those on competitors' laptops. "It's going to be a great avenue for creative applications to be developed around it," Kettler said. The system will ship in the next few months, Dell said. The firm also teased audience with a teaser of Dell One All-In-One PC which will come in next week.
