The 14.1-inch Inspiron 1420 packs Core 2 Duo T7100 / T7300 / T7500 / T5250 / T5450 or Celeron M processor, Crestline GM965 / PM965 chipset, up to 4GB RAM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 or Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS graphics (128MB), SATA hard drive, wireless, and webcam. The 15.4-inch Inspiron 1520 offers same above mentioned specs except option of hybrid hard drive, Nvidia 8600M GT (256MB) and wireless n. It's sibling 1521 is based on AMD dual core Turion TL-56 / TL-58 / TL-60 / TL-64 or Athlon 64 X2 TK-53 chip, and provides M690T chipset, ATI Mobility Radeon X1270 graphics; other config remains constant.

The 17-inch 1720 features identical specs as Inspiron 1420 except GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB. It's sibling 1721 provides specs similar to 1521.
