More details on HCL MiLeap X and Y Series low cost laptops
I just got my hands on some more juicy details about HCL's low cost ultra portable laptops, which were recently unveiled in India. The The $357 (INR 13,999) MiLeap X Series is based around Intel 915GMS chipset with Celeron M Ultra Low Voltage 353, (Dothan 900MHz) at it's core. The Linux-based machine comes with 512MB RAM, 2GB flash memory (no word on if it can be expanded), 7-inch wide 800 x 400 color LCD, 2-in-1 card reader, two USB ports, built-in speakers, 802.11b/g wireless, and 6 cells battery lasting about 4 hours). It weighs 1.44Kg.
