If such figure comes straight from the mother of all technical institute, we gotta give it a thought. No matter how skeptical people are about such ridiculously cheap computer, the gurus at MIT believe that $12 computer is actually possible. No word on details but it appears that the machine will rely on an Apple II as its base. I am not sure whether its a typo (just like the great Indian typo), but if it ain't then without heavy subsidies from Government or some philanthropist this $12 computer will only remain a dream.
