Maingear eX-L 18 "world's most powerful" laptop unveiled

maingear_eX-L-18.jpg Maingear today announced a new gaming laptop. Dubbed as the world's most powerful laptop, the eX-L 18 is based upon Intel's quad core Core 2 Extreme processor and relies on dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M GPUs with NVIDIA SLI technology for its graphics prowess. If this sounds interesting then there's a lot more: up to 8GB DDR3 memory + 3x 2.5" SATA SSDs.

The 18.4" machine provides Blu-ray capabilities, full HD resolution of 1920x1080, max 1.5TB storage, wireless, Bluetooth, and 7.1ch audio.

Other features include eSATA, HDMI, USB 2.0, FireWire, 3MP webcam, a full sized keyboard with a number pad, and programmable gaming buttons.

The Maingear eX-L 18 is based on Windows Vista operating system, and is now available starting at $2,999.
