Litl Webbook 12" netbook with always-on OS $699

litl-webbook2.jpg Originally when Asus had announced its first Eee PC, it was targeted towards professionals who needed a small, portable computing machine for office as well as personal use. Since then the netbook segment has overgrown dramatically, and is mostly concentrated on internet surfing. The newest kid on the block, Litl Webbook, makes use of the fact that most people using a netbook use it only for internet surfing.

And that's why Litl’s Founder and CEO, John Chuang, came out with this beautiful baby.

This one's targeted towards youngsters who stays online the whole day.

The Litl webbook is powered by an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz processor, and provides 1GB RAM, 2GB flash storage, 12" widescreen LCD display, Wireless, and HDMI.

The most interesting thing about this device is its operating system -- it features a home-grown operating system that stays on 24x7. Pretty good for people who just cannot leave without continuously checking what's cooking in the online world.

The only bad thing about this device is its pricing -- the Litl webbook is priced at $699 with $19 extra for an optional remote controller. Too steep for an internet-only machine.
